Over 100 members enjoyed a memorable trip to The London Palladium to see a brand new production of this iconic Andrew Lloyd-Webber/Tim Rice musical
This new production of Evita by Jamie Lloyd, with Rachel Zegler in the role of Eva Peron, making her debut on the London stage, was not just your average rehash of a classic. With its bold staging, standout performances and stripped-back set , this was a real triumph! Zegler brought a fierce energy to her performance wowing the outside audience on Argyll Street with her rendition of 'Don't Cry for me Argentina' while the theatre audience watched it live-screened to the stage.
A very enjoyable - and loud - show brought bang up to date with this innovative new staging.
